The Farrer Park Art Collection
The vision for The Farrer Park Art Collection began as a set of focused ideas on how to achieve a shared goal of the organisation, Board of Directors, and shareholders of The Farrer Park Company.
Ex-Chairman of the Farrer Park Company Art Committee, Dr Richard C. Helfer, was asked to helm the project and find a meaningful way to visibly express The Farrer Park Company’s support for local and regional artists. Hence, The Farrer Park Company Art Committee commissioned contemporary works of art, from artists and talents from Singapore as well as across Asia, expressing diversity and creating a sense of the regional community.
Displayed in guest rooms and public spaces, The Farrer Park Art Collection includes installation, ceramic sculptures, porcelain, tableware, hand-knotted carpets, and paintings with a focus on landscapes and natural subjects. Majority of the artworks were commissioned for the spaces where they are located. The hotel takes pride in its award-winning permanent collection of over 700 pieces of original two- and three- dimensional artworks from across Asia, the largest of its kind in Singapore.
