In Kyoto, he continued his academic journey and research in the field of contemporary ceramic art at Kyoto Seika University. His inclusion in the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013, a renowned international art event, signifies his international recognition and contribution to contemporary art discourse. Additionally, his involvement in exhibitions such as “SUNSHOWER: Contemporary Art from Southeast Asia 1980s to Now” at the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo in 2017 and “Contemporary Worlds: Indonesia” at the National Gallery of Australia in 2019 underscores his participation in prominent platforms that celebrate and showcase contemporary Southeast Asian and Indonesian art.
