Aya Murakami

Aya Murakami was Born in Paris, France. She currently lives and works in Tokyo, Japan. Aya graduated with a Masters in Fine Arts in Oil Painting, from the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, in 2004. She has held multiple major solo exhibitions since 2005 and participated in many major group exhibitions. She also took up residency with INSTINC/Singapore in 2013.

Aya Murakami’s trajectory from her birthplace in Paris to her current base in Tokyo reflects the international nature of her artistic journey.  Her experiences and contributions demonstrate her commitment to evolving as an artist and engaging with audiences both locally and internationally.
