David Chan, a dedicated artist and passionate arts educator, radiates his creative brilliance. His artistic prowess has earned him accolades, including the esteemed 23rd UOB Painting of the Year – Representational Medium Category Award and the illustrious 41st UOB Painting of the Year – Bronze Award. Proficient in both sculpture and painting, Chan’s captivating works delve into the intricate nuances of human behavior and offer poignant portrayals of societal reflections. His artistic odyssey spans across borders, with exhibitions in prominent countries such as China, America, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, and Malaysia. In a remarkable achievement, Chan’s masterpiece was selected for the esteemed 54th Venice Biennale at the revered Fondazione Claudio Buziol in 2011. This monumental work later journeyed to the renowned Wereldmuseum Rotterdam in the Netherlands the following year. Recognized as a visionary, Chan was invited to leave an indelible mark in the 5th Singapore Biennale, Atlas of Mirrors, where he mesmerized audiences with a sprawling twenty-three-meter outdoor sculpture on the lush lawns of the National Museum of Singapore.
